The monastery was built in 1971 by the late Thuksey Rinpoche, and the new building was completed in 1992. My guru Thuksey Rinpoche’s reincarnation was enthroned and brought up here. A few of our other Rinpoches and Tulkus are now residing in this monastery, while receiving the traditional training and studying philosophy under the guidance of Khenpo Jigme.
